Released on @YouTube on Amazon Day, YANUNI has been watched over 4 million times. Directed by @RichardLadkani and co-produced by @LeonardoDiCaprio, it’s a true story of love and resistance following Indigenous Chief Juma Xipaia.

This Indigenous Peoples' Day, I'm asking for your help to support the YANUNI FUND. In partnership with Instituto Juma, the YANUNI FUND has been built to strengthen the resistance and autonomy of Indigenous peoples defending their territories, their cultures, and the Amazon, funding those directly on the frontlines.

ABOUT THE YANUNI FUND

The YANUNI FUND was created to strengthen the resistance and autonomy of Indigenous Peoples in defending their territories, cultures, and the Amazon.

Through the creation of a five-year impact platform (2026–2030) coordinated by the Juma Institute, the YANUNI FUND will channel resources toward long-term initiatives led by Indigenous leaders across the southwestern region of Pará. These initiatives will focus on Indigenous rights, women’s leadership, territorial management, cultural strengthening, traditional medicine, bioeconomy, and food sovereignty.

Rooted in the Amazon, the leadership of the Juma Institute is grounded in an Indigenous vision. But its mission does not belong to a single people, territory, or community. You are invited to be part of this story of transformation.
